JS27 Light Meadow – An attractively natural-looking mixture of amenity grasses. Fine- leaved, short growing and low competitive species. Producing a slow growing sward as a result requiring the least cutting. This mixture, when sown at low rates will produce an ‘open-textured’ sward, ideal for the establishment of wild flora, whether from seed or plugs. This mixture is particularly suited to the establishment of golf roughs or any other conservation area.

JS27 Light Meadow Grass Seed – An attractively natural-looking mixture of amenity grasses including Capriccio Chewings Fescue, Bornito Hard Fescue, Samanta Slender Creeping Red Fescue, Aberfleece Sheep’s Fescue, and Browntop Bentgrass, which are fine-leaved, short growing and low competitive species.
Our light meadow grass seed mix produces a slow growing sward, which requires the least cutting and minimal maintenance. This mixture, when sown at low rates will produce an ‘open-textured’ wildflower sward, ideal for the establishment of wild flora, whether from seed or plugs. This mixture is particularly suited to the establishment of golf roughs or any other conservation area.
Sowing rate: 6g/m2 to 8 g/m2 without the inclusion of wild flora or 3g/m2 with the addition of wild flora. Add wild flower seed at a rate of 1gms/Metre square.

I purchased some of the JS27 mix last autumn and sowed it immediately. I am delighted with the spread of grass already showing and an confident that I will now have all the grass cover that I needed. With the grass seed I also sowed a small quantity of Yellow Rattle and this also seems to have taken well. That apart the service from Jubilee was both quick and helpful giving me every confidence that I was selecting the right seed mix for my requirement. I hear that Jubilee will soon be introducing some smaller quantity purchase options which will be very welcome to those who wish to have only a small area of ‘wildness’ in their gardens.
